Tamira Jones

Tamira coordinates TravelChoice, TransForm’s innovative program that encourages Alameda County residents to use alternative forms of transportation and reduce vehicle dependence.

Tamira is from Mendocino County, where she worked on public access issues and wrote the feasibility study for 130 miles of California Coastal Trail. Upon moving to the East Bay, Tamira sold her own vehicle and is learning how to master public transportation.

Over the past decade, Tamira has worked in the environmental non-profit world throughout northern California and the Caribbean.  She holds a Masters Degree in Environment and Community Studies.
