courtship vs conservation

So, we get 2 free days, right? cause today would definitely be one of mine!  YIKES!  My boyfriend and I got invited to enjoy a free dinner at a new restaurant at a billion-dollar resort!  FREE!  DELICIOUS FOOD!  but it was...umm... an 80 mile round trip.  yikes.  double yikes!

Some people have commented that I should get that sweet sweet man of mine to join the challenge too.  Awesome idea!  I am going to start campaigning.  He has been so helpful and understanding, which is huge, because on several occasions I came home for maybe 5 minutes of a whirlwind of swearing and rushing and probably making lots of noise:

"oh crap oh sh**!  I have to get to the *&%$** bus in like 2 minutes or the next one isn't for a *#$%*@&ing hour!  oh crap!!!!!  Sorry!  Excuse me!  I love you, but I don't have time to talk!  I have to *%($*%(^ get to the bus NOW!"

He has been a major help, printing out bus schedules, being my bus-expert phone-a-friend.  and for the most part taking transit with me.  Last night we took the metro together and then walked to a restaurant, which was super fun and romantic.  

OH!  I almost forgot. Besides the huge car ride to that restaurant, I didn't drive at all today and I went to my first audition on the bus.  It worked out really well, actually!  It took me a while longer than driving would have, but since I planned ahead it wasn't a problem!  yay!  

Tomorrow I am going for my biggest car-free-challenge day.  I have two rehearsals, I have to go try on a bridesmaid dress, and go to acting class and then meet up with friends for dinner.  All over hollywood and I am NOT going to bring my car!  I have lots of props I need to bring to acting class, so I am pretty sure I will look kinda like a bag lady, BUT I think it will give me a fuzzy feeling!

I really really want to try to keep under my 300 mile limit even WITH the 40 miles I added today.  We'll see. I really am trying to keep a good balance so that I am making this a lifestyle I can keep... and if I go all crazy with it then I won't maintain it after June, you know?
