It was inevitable...

Well, I'm in Charlotte, North Carolina and have had to do some driving (it's pretty hard not to here).

BUT -- we've made an effort to try some alternatives here in Charlotte, and give our adorable train-loving nephew Ben some positive public transportation memories!

So on Tuesday we went to take the Lynx into downtown.

The anticipation for a 4 year-old for the arrival of a train is pretty fun.

The train's actual arrival is kind of like Christmas.  Smile

And here's us riding the Lynx.  I've got to say, the Lynx was nice!  Much cleaner and smoother that my daily ride in San Francisco, the N-Judah.  Note any family resemblance between Drew and Ben?

I think if we could turn every train-loving little boy into a public transportation advocate, we'd have high-speed rail throughout the country!

Thanks for the update! Your

Thanks for the update! Your blog is great :) I live in Wyoming, and totally get the challenges you faced in Georgia. there's hardly any public transportation there, which unfortunately makes it easy to make excuses to drive. but thanks to some people and organizations (coughcough TransForm coughcough) I think that people everywhere are realizing the benefits of driving less

p.s. your nephew is adorable
