Rolln' rolln' rolln'... on the wrong set of wheels
Day one: a total disaster! I've gone way over my mileage goal, and I fell right into the trap that I was trying to avoid. (The trap being the expectation that we should be able to be any where at any given time in the shortest amount of time). So, here's the story: I got to work Monday morning, car-free and happy, and then found out that there was a meeting in San Jose and I should come. Guess how we got there? Yup, that's right. We drove. Do I get to count the miles as half since there were two of us in the car? Is it wrong that I don't feel as bad about driving there since I had no control over my schedule and did even know we had to go until about an hour before we left? I wonder if I even could have gotten there by public transit. It probably would have taken a lot longer.
