TransForm Joins Hundreds in Asking Washington to Support Emergency Transit Operations Support

On June 29, 2010, TransForm joined hundreds of transit workers and riders at the federal building in San Francisco calling on our Senators to help end the devastating service cuts plaguing transit agenices in the Bay Area and beyond. 

The International Presidents of two transit labor unions, Josh Shaw of the California Transit Association, Dave Snyder of the San Francisco Transit Riders Union, and other spoke.  

The rally focused on the need for federal transit operations funding for immediate relief and long-term sustainability. 

TransForm, as part of the Transportation For America coalition, joined the effort to urge Senators Boxer and Feinstein to support emergency transit operations funding in the Public Transportation Preservation Act, as well as ongoing transit operations flexibility in our national transportation program.
