2019 marks the 40th anniversary of the Annual Conference. Conference participants are encouraged to use this milestone year to envision a future California where no one is homeless and everyone can afford a safe, stable place to call home in a healthy, vibrant, and prosperous community. Help Shape the Future to meet this shared goal by participating in innovative, interactive workshops. We'll have marked particular workshops that Push the Field. Some workshops may also cross-reference multiple tracks, which you'll see noted in workshop descriptions once they're published.
The Housing California Annual Conference started in 1979 with a small gathering across the street from the State Capitol and has since grown into one of the largest and most diverse affordable housing and homelessness conferences in the country. Housing California became a broader organization in 1988 as a result of the growing state advocacy work in affordable housing. In 2018, they welcomed more than 1,700 attendees and 61 exhibitors to the three-day event.
