Standing Up and Speaking Out: Now more than ever, your community is relying on you to stand up and speak out. Think your 501(c)(3) nonprofit status prevents you from advocating for community change? Think again! Join experts from Alliance for Justice (AFJ) to learn about nonpartisan advocacy rights and responsibilities, as well as increase lobbying power of your organization.
The training will also feature United Way Bay Area (UWBA) Policy Team who will share their organization best practices and helpful tools nonprofits can use to become advocacy savvy. United Way hasn't traditionally been known as an advocacy organization, but that's changed over time and United Way Bay Area is leading the way.
After the training, you’ll not only know how to increase your lobbying power and nonpartisan advocacy, but you’ll also have access to a network of attorneys who can answer questions if you still need support moving forward.
