The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will hold two public meetings to present the Draft Environmental Report (DEIR) for the Highway 101 Managed Lanes Project, a congestion relief project spanning 22-miles from Interstate 380 in San Mateo County to San Antonio Road in northern Santa Clara County.
TransForm and our allies have been advocating for improvements to include FAST Express Lanes — converting existing lanes to express lanes that will ensure Fast, Affordable, Sustainable Transportation on the 101 corridor. This is a key opportunity to voice support for this approach.
The meetings will follow an open house format during which attendees can view exhibits of project features. Caltrans and its partners will be on hand to provide project details and answer questions.
The public is invited to comment on the DEIR during the meeting. However, attendace at the meetings is not necessary for commenting, and comments can also be submitted to SM101DEiR_EA_comments@dot.ca.gov.
The other public meeting is on December 11 in San Mateo.
