Sunnyvale City Council Hearing

Aug 15

Time:

7:00 pm
SPEAK UP FOR INCLUSIVE NEIGHBORHOODS ALONG EL CAMINO REAL

Sunnyvale is on the cusp of something exciting. The City is crafting the El Camino Real Specific Plan, a vision for the future of this important corridor. And this summer, the City will choose one of three alternatives to form the heart of this new plan. Now is your chance to make your voice heard!

The plan should foster thriving, transit-friendly neighborhoods with homes we can all afford to help tackle our housing affordability crisis. It should reduce traffic on our congested roads by allowing more residents to live close to where they work.

Join Greenbelt Alliance at the Sunnyvale Planning Commission hearing on Monday, July 24 and City Council hearing on Tuesday, August 15 to speak in favor of more inclusive and diverse neighborhoods along El Camino Real.

Please encourage the City to do the following:

• Adopt the ‘Housing-Rich Alternative’ with at least 5,100 new homes along the corridor.
• Create strategies to ensure that homes are affordable for all residents.
• Keep the balance of jobs and homes from getting worse.
