After two years of public outreach and technical analysis a draft of Plan Bay Area 2040, an update to the region’s long-term growth plan, has been released. The plan describes where and how the region can accommodate an anticipated 820,000 households and 1.3 million new jobs, while detailing a regional transportation investment strategy that expects $303 billion in revenues over the next 24 years.
