I am taking this challenge because it seems like a great way to get more people to ride their bikes. I want to help support that! I live in hayward where it is pretty flat most places are in walking distance to where I live. I want to help encourage people to ride their bikes more because of the great effects it has on a persons health and the impact of one less car on the road has on our envirment. I want to make my city a bike friendly city where people ride their bikes to the grocery store instead of driving the 3 miles. I want to create safer roads for cyclists to ride on and I want motorists to respect cyclists for their choice of transportation.
