I am doing it to bring more attention to the North Bay and to encourage other city employees to consider using other modes of transportation.  It’s also another way for me to keep encouraging friends and family to think, to act and to support other forms of transportation (mobility).

Frankly I was impressed with TransForm’s innovative marketing idea:  a challenge to go car free for just one week.  Finally, someone is thinking out of the box in a fun way to encourage more people to consider other forms of transportation besides the personal automobile.  Hopefully the “Car-Free Challenge” will become an annual event and spread nationally.
