Joan Edelstein

I successfully completed the Car Free Challenge in 2009 while I was living in West Sacramento. When I moved back to Oakland, I was inspired to keep my mileage low, moving to Old Oakland near BART and taking public transportation to work. With the rainy season I spent more time in my car. So I plan to get back into the habits I was in and take public transportation to work and other activities more often and enjoy times when I don't get in my car for 2 weeks. I totally support finding alternate means of transportation and reducing our driving.
