Safe Routes to Schools Senior Site Coordinator

Terry is a Site Coordinator for the Safe Routes to Schools program with a focus on Oakland.  He joined TransForm to help improve the well-being of communities, with a particular interest in educating low-income communities about the importance of active living plus helping students achieve their best personal and academic potential.

He is a native Spanish bilingual and bicultural public policy/relations professional specializing in urban and social policy, public affairs, and social marketing with the Latino community in the U.S.

Terry is originally from Mexico and has lived in the East Bay for over two decades. He holds a Master of International Affairs Degree in Urban and Social Policy from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Latin American Studies from U.C. Berkeley.
