We have completed the project selection process for Cycle V

Thank you to all the public agencies that have applied for Safe Routes to Transit Cycle V funding.

The SR2T Advisory Committee has determined a final list of projects for recommendation for MTC Approval in February 2014. Project sponsors will be contacted shortly on the status of their applications. 


TransForm, the East Bay Bicycle Coalition, and MTC released a call for projects on Wednesday, July 10, 2013.  This is the fifth and final call for projects for the grant program.

The deadline for application submissions was on September 30, 2013.

December 2013

  • 12/11: The Advisory Committee arrived a a final list of projects for funding recommendation to MTC. Project sponsors will be contacted next week on the status of their applications. The list will go to MTC's Programming and Allocations Committee in February 2014 for approval.

  • 12/6: The Advisory Committee has completed Round II of scoring SR2T applications. 

November 2013

  • The Advisory Committee has completed Round I of scoring SR2T applications. The Committee is currently reviewing applications in Round II.

October 2013

  • We have received a good number of SR2T applications and are currently processing applications for review by the Advisory Committee. Please contact Clarrissa Cabansagan if you have any questions about your application.

September 2013

  • Fiscal years in the budget workbook should reflect those of Cycle V: FY13/14 - FY17/18, and any previous years where the project sponsor has secured funding.

  • ONLY CAPITAL PROJECTS are required to fill out the Routine Accomodations/Complete Streets Checklist. Please excuse the confusion on the application narrative.

August 2013

  • We encourage applicants to consider the optional attachment of a 3-5 minute video recording that describes your project. Please upload as an unlisted video on YouTube and include the link in the corresponding section of your application narrative. For more information see YouTube instructions here.
