This bill would facilitate the acquisition of blighted and abandoned properties by nonprofit affordable housing developers to create more affordable homes, while enhancing and protecting the rights of tenants in those properties. It would modernize and update an existing process (Chapter 8 Tax Defaulted Property Sale) that is underutilized and inefficient.
