Former Communications Director
Edie was the communications director at TransForm for almost five years, until July 2021. She oversaw TransForm's communications strategy, including web, social, email, publications, and media relations. She joined TransForm in 2016 with more than 12 years of experience in communications, outreach, policy advocacy, and political organizing.
Before joining TransForm, Edie was the communications manager for the Social Transformation Project, a leadership development organization working to improve collaboration among progressive leaders and organizations. Prior to that she did outreach for StopWaste promoting energy efficiency and Alameda County's Reusable Bag Ordinance. As the Communications Director for the Institute for College Access & Success, Edie was an expert on student debt and federal student loan repayment policy. She has also worked as an independent consultant to nonprofits and socially responsible businesses.
Edie is a Bay Area native, a proud Oakland resident, and an avid gardener, singer, cook, and cyclist. She has a bachelor's degree from Barnard College.
